This is a post I wasn’t going to write. I wasn’t going to write it, because I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to do it and I would look stupid to anyone who had read it. Now, 10 days in I feel like I have to share it. Maybe because if I share it, I am less likely to give up and make excuses for why I gave up, or maybe someone will read this and it will inspire them to get up and do it too. I decided that either of those reasons, were good enough. So, if you’re reading this you are probably like ok, wtf is she talking about? Well, I am talking about the 100 Miles in November Challenge aka the #SlapDash100! » Read more: Now There’s No Way I Can Give Up! #SlapDash100
A Transportation Security Administration agent and a suspect were wounded in a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday morning, sources told the Los Angeles Times.
Law enforcement officers were flooding the airport, authorities said, and terminals 2 and 3 were evacuated.
Tory Belleci of the television show Mythbusters tweeted: “Heard gun shots then everyone starting running for the door. Not sure if anyone was hurt. #LAX.”
TV footage showed dozens of offficers swarming the airport. Images also showed a law enforcement officer being treated by paramedics. He appeared to be alert. Another officer had a bloody hand.

A substantial reward is now being offered for the safe return of a 14-year-old autistic boy from Queens who has been missing for a week.
A 24-hour command center has been set near the Center Boulevard School in Long Island City where Avonte Oquendo was last seen. The teen was spotted on surveillance video leaving the school on Oct. 4.
Because of the 14-year-old’s fascination with trains, every bit of subway track and all stations, including those abandoned, are getting a second going over. The search may be expanded to NJ TRANSIT and the LIRR.
Avonte is 5-foot-3 and weighs 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray striped shirt, black jeans and black shoes.
“If you see him, please, please, call 911 or take him to a police station,” his mother, Vanessa Fontaine, said earlier this week.
Anyone with information is asked to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit the Crime Stoppers website or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
Autism Speaks announced Friday that it has increased the reward from $50,000 to $70,000.
